Karanka Post Match Reaction: Happy With Teams Patience

Real MadridaAssistant coach Aitor Karanka spoke to the media after todays match against Sporting. These are some of his comments:

“The teams work and attitude throughout the season is what matters. We have a fantastic group of players that makes all of us very happy. They deserve to be champions and we must keep up the good work till the end.”

“People say Mourinho has a defenisive style, but 107 goals isn’t all that bad.”

“Sporting defended well and we knew they would. A draw wouldn’t do much for them and it’s a shame they’re in that situation because of the attitude the showcased. They caused problems for us and made it difficult to win.”

“Just like against Atletico, when things get tougher and people say the team grows anxious, that’s when we knew how to find the moment in which to score. That’s important. We won another game and took three more points.”

“When things looked worse we managed to find the right moment to score. We elaborate more when we have to. We also know how to finish off efforts quickly.”

“It was important to win tonight to stay strong in La Liga. We’ll play another match on Tuesday and in order to earn a good result we’ll use the team we deem more convenient. There are fewer games left in the season and we’ll face a great side in Munich, so we’ll start preparing for it tomorrow.”
